Okay, so yesterday I skipped my Photography studio class because I was going to do work at home... I actually didn't end up doing any work, (I'd gotten home from a very long boring work meeting that morning), but that is beside the point, what's important is that it was my intent.
So today I get an email from my Tutor addressed to me and two other members of my group, (one of them by the way was the person I told that I wasn't going to class and asked her if she could tell the tutor and let me know what happened) saying:
"Dear Rachel (and other two people),
I am concerned that none of you attended our Studio session on Thursday.
And that none of you bothered to communicate about your non-attendance..."
I was particularly annoyed about the last sentence as one of the other people who didn't attend was the person I asked to tell the tutor that I wasn't going to be there!
He goes on to say what the schedule was.
Apparently we were supposed to give a 5min presentations about an artist, which I didn't know about.
"...This makes things rather difficult time-wise and means that I have had to change the planned schedule for next Thursday to incorporate your presentations..."
Then in bold he writes
"...This means that you are now required to give your (10 minute) presentations next week."
Then goes on to talk about the new schedule.
ANYWAY, I don't really care about doing the presentation next Thursday, I just find is stupid and annoying that he's made the presentations for us 10min instead of 5min, right after he says; "This makes things rather difficult time-wise"
!!! I mean, WHAT THE HECK?! You just said is going to be difficult for time... and yet you make the presentations 10min instead of 5min?!
Three people, that means an extra 15min wasted!?!
I don't know it just sounds stupid to me, and don't get me wrong, I don't mind doing the presentation, I mean, my bad for not going to the class and realizing there was a presentation...I can do 10min... It just seems like you're really punishing the other people in the group who have to wait around for it to be finished ??? I don't get it...
Seriously, it could have just been a quick 15min at the start of the class, but no, he has to drag it out into this whole huge thing...
When I first met this tutor he seemed really nice, and sure he has a lot of helpful information locked away in that brain of his.. But the more time I spend in his group the less I like him.
He's the one who's usually rambling on about unimportant or relevant things, and He's the one talking about wasting time?!?!
Sigh, I dunno, it just really pisses me off.
